Codon optimized for Escherichia coli K12 and checked for BioBrick restriction sites using IDT Codon Optimization Tool.

Chemotaxis protein CheY is involved in the chemotaxis signal transduction pathway of Escherichia coli. When CheY is phosphorylated, it will have enhanced binding to a flagellar motor, FliM, which will shift the probability of bacterial movement from swimming to tumbling.
